What should I expect from a group class?
Expect a new lesson every week designed to engage you and your dog in a fun, friendly, and welcoming environment.
Does my dog have to be off-leash ready?
Our goal is to get your dog to a place that is ready for GCG or, as we like to call it, “Best Dog on The Block.” While we love our furry, off-leash friends, it’s not a requirement.
What do I need to bring to a group class?
In addition to your dog, we ask that you bring a flat collar or whatever you’re currently using as training equipment, a leash (please keep them to the standard 4ft-6ft), some treats or a clicker, and yourself! If you wish to bring other items, we will happily discuss them with you in person.
May I come and observe a class before committing?
Absolutely! We love to have people check out what we’re doing. We only ask that you let us know in advance and remember to leave your dog at home.
Can more than one person come to group class with me?
Yes, we love to have people supporting their furry friends! We just ask that only one person works with the dog at a time and that all who are observing not disturb handlers or others during the session
What if there are two people who handle the dog?
In this situation, we ask that one person stay off to the side and act as an observer until the halfway point in class and then switch with the other handler.
Can more than one person come to group class with me?
Yes, we love to have people supporting their furry friends! We just ask that only one person works with the dog at a time and that all participating in observation do not disturb handlers or others during the session.
Are the dogs free to interact or play with other dogs during the group class?
While we would love to allow that, unfortunately not every dog that attends group is willing and eager to make new friends. We prefer to keep dogs at a safe distance from each other to maintain a level of safety for dogs, handlers, and trainers.
What is the training equipment?
Training equipment can be anything from your common flat collar, a prong collar, muzzle, clicker, or e-collar.
** If you’re using an e-collar, we ask that your collar and remote are fully charged upon arrival of class.
** (WE ARE UNABLE TO CHARGE EQUIPMENT AS OUR VENUE IS OUTDOOR)
