I started Precision K9 Work because of my passion for dogs. Growing up I always had dog and enjoyed the companionship. After watching dogs work in the military and witnessing the capability of a trained dog my interest was sparked. It started by training my own dogs, family and friends who needed help. Later, I began training for a franchise and had the experience to work with over a hundred dogs of different breeds and temperaments from fearful to aggressive.
My experience with dog training over the past 10 years has led me to sell dogs to different agencies and departments within law enforcement. It has also allowed me to bring owners closer to their canine companions and keep dogs out of shelters.
I have been training dogs for basic obedience, agility, IPO (Schutzhund), sport, Police K9, and scent work. I have completed decoy camps and seminars from different trainers and behaviorists. I am also a certified AKC CGC Evaluator.
By serving in the Marine Corps for 6 years, I built a foundation of patience and commitment that comes through in my training. I teach that in order to have the most well rounded and obedient dog, no matter what kind of training you are interested in, it requires a balance of various training techniques and full understanding of how a dog thinks.
